GLOCAL UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED “BLANKET DISTRIBUTION DRIVE” FOR THE NEEDY PEOPLE OF NEIGHBORHOOD VILLAGES

Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) is one of the pillars of Glocal University. As an institution we strongly believe that our role comprises something more than only imparting skills and knowledge to the young generation of our nation. As a dynamic representative of social change, Glocal University does voluntary initiatives in the formation of an ethos of social responsibility in the society through countless activities that address not only the competitive interests but also a holistic welfare of the society. Recently, the Glocal

University has organized a “Blanket Distribution Drive” for needy people of neighborhood villages of the Glocal University, Saharanpur from 12 to 13 th January, 2023.

The Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, launched the program named “WE CARE” to extend benefit to the needy people of neighborhood village of the Glocal University viz., Kasampur Padli,Noorpur Bharavad, Fatehpur, Dayalpur, Jatowala, Mirzapur, Shapur Gada, Jasmor, Nogoun, Badshahi Bagh,Safipur, Sherpur, Maganpura, Faizabad, Saharanpur.

To execute the event the coordinators of the programmes Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Mishra and Prof (Dr.) S.P. Pandey constituted five dedicated team under Dr. Sanjay, Dr. Mohd Yusuf, Dr. Wasim Khan, Dr. Bilal Ahmed, Mr.Himanshu, Dr. Babu Khan, Dr. Vipin Kumar, Mr. Md. Jarrar, Mr. Saifullah Zafar, Dr. Ateeka, Mr. Naved and Mr.Nafees and facilitate the teams with the necessary arrangements. The team has visited the villages and distributed the blankets to the beneficiaries. The teams have also raised awareness among senior citizens about their legal entitlement.
