WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK CELEBRATED AT GLOCAL UNIVERSITY

On 04/8/2023, students of Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre celebrated World breastfeeding week in theme ‘enabling breastfeeding making differences for working parents’.

The event was aimed at increasing awareness about breastfeeding for the working parents.

Two competitions were organised for the day celebration-Rangoli making competition and Creative art competition. The event began in the morning, with rangoli making competition and in evening students come up with various creative arts as a competition explaining the theme of breastfeeding week along with the importance of breastfeeding as a part of celebration. Both the competitions aimed to engage and encourage students to express their ideas and creativity in advocating for awareness regarding breastfeeding among the working parents.

The activities not only showcased the artistic talents of the participants but also emphasized the importance of breastfeeding.

The beautiful Rangoli and creative art were displayed in the department in the presence of, Principal - Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre Dr. Roshan Lal Kahar, H.O.D Mr. Himanshu Massey, Judges for the event were Mr. Himanshu Massey, Mr. Devendra Assistant Prof. , Mrs. Ruchika Assistant Prof. and Mrs. Meeta Assistant Prof. and all the faculty members and students from nursing department.

The event was a resounding success with a strong focus on let’s make breastfeeding and work, work! This year’s campaign focuses on promoting practices that can help support workplace-related breastfeeding in different countries. Breastfeeding plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper growth and development of a child.

Whole programme was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University, Saharanpur Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Registrar Dr. R.D. Dwivedi, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey,  Principal - Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre Dr. Roshan Lal Kahar and Event coordinator- Ms. Jyoti Joshi and Ms. Shivanshi.
